Regular Council

THAT staff implement Policy #700-06, Sections 2.1, 2.2, and 2.3 to grant the Camp Connect Program operated by the Westminster United Church a 20% fee reduction for rental of the community centres, kitchens and meeting rooms only in 2022.

THAT Council accept the 2022/2023 Insurance Program at the price of $334,688 (plus applicable taxes) submitted by Frank Cowan Company Limited and McFarlan Rowlands Insurance Brokers Ltd.; AND THAT Council direct staff to tender for 2023/2024 insurance program.

THAT Report 2022-068 from the Chief Administrative Officer be received and filed for information purposes only.

THAT Council authorize the CAO to contract COLESTAR Environmental Inc. to complete a Modified Generic Risk Assessment (MGRA) to address residual road salt related impacts in soil and groundwater beneath the site at 8 Commissioner Street in Embro.

THAT Council endorse the correspondence from SWOX re Letter to Minister Surma; AND THAT Council direct Mayor Ryan to send a similar letter with changes made to reflect Zorra Township as the authoring municipality.

THAT Council authorize the "Margaret Lupton" submission, to be included in the Name Registry for future use for a municipal asset.

THAT Council authorize the "McFarlan" submission, to be included in the Name Registry for future use for a municipal asset.

THAT Zorra Council authorize the "Trojans" submission, to be included in the Name Registry for future use for a municipal asset.

THAT Items 10 (a) - (c) be received and filed for information purposes only.

THAT items 11(a) - (g) be received and filed for information purposes only.

THAT Staff contact Halton Hills to get the actual length of time the moratorium will last.

THAT the Township of Zorra support the Township of Puslinch Resolution regarding new gravel extraction.

THAT by-laws 22-22 and 23-22 be taken as read a first, second and third time and finally passed; AND FURTHER THAT the Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to sign the same and affix the corporate seal thereto.

THAT By-law 24-22, being a by-law to confirm the proceedings of Council held April 6, 2022, be read a first, second and third time this April 6, 2022; AND FURTHER THAT the Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to sign the same and affix the corporate seal thereto.

THAT this session of Council be now adjourned and herewith closed at 11:36 a.m. and the next meeting of Council be called for Wednesday, April 20 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Township Municipal Office.
