Zorra Multi-Use Court Committee

THAT the agenda be adopted as circulated.

THAT the minutes from the January 14, 2025 Zorra Multi-Use Court Committee meeting be adopted as printed and circulated.

WHEREAS the Zorra Multi-Use Courts Committee members have been proposing, developing, and fundraising for this project since 2019, AND WHEREAS the original project was endorsed for the location behind the Thamesford District Recreation Centre (TDRC), AND WHEREAS the committee has completed the full fundraising goal with the generous support of the community and local businesses, AND WHEREAS the Developer has offered Brock Street fronting land as part of the Kingwood Riverside Development for the project for added community benefit, which has been endorsed by ZMCC and Zorra Council, AND WHEREAS most recently TVDSB has initiated conversations with Zorra staff on bringing the Multi-Use Courts project in under their new school, childcare, and municipal co-build project RFP as one large project, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the members of the ZMCC request that Zorra Council direct staff to continue consultation with TVDSB staff to identify: How the TVDSB construction schedule could accommodate a construction completion of the courts before the end of the 2026 season, Any benefit the ZMCC project would receive by moving it to the collaborative project managed by TVDSB, And any other info that could help support informed discussions on how to best collaborate to achieve our respective priorities, AND THAT ZMCC endorses consideration of continuing with our own RFP process or returning to the original location at TDRC if the timeline for the new location as a TVDSB led project can no

THAT this session of Zorra Multi-Use Court Committee be now adjourned and herewith closed at 8:54 p.m. AND THAT the committee deviate from the 2025 ZMCC Meeting Schedule and cancel all future meetings, until Staff have new updates on the project.
