THAT the agenda be adopted as printed and circulated

THAT the minutes from the June 21, 2023 Council meeting be adopted as printed and circulated.

THAT the Council meeting be adjourned at 9:40 a.m. for the purposes of holding a public meeting pursuant to the provisions of the Planning Act. AND THAT Council move into the Committee of Adjustment for the purpose of hearing a Minor Variance Application.

THAT the Township of Zorra Committee of Adjustment defer Application File A04-23, submitted by Andrew Mutsaers for lands described as North Part Lot 12, South Part Lot 13, Concession 2, in the Township of Zorra municipally known as 335743 33 rd Line to consider alternate locations, as it relates to: Relief from the provisions of Section 7.2.4 – Number of Accessory Dwellings and Garden Suites per Lot to permit a second single detached dwelling on a farm. Section 7.2.6 – Location of New Farm Residences, to reduce the minimum distance separation (MDS I) requirement to the nearest livestock barn (hog barn) from 561 m (1,839 ft) to 225 m (738 ft) and to reduce the minimum distance separation (MDS I) requirement to the nearest manure storage facility from 605 m (1,983 ft) to 265 m (869 ft)

THAT Council move out of the Committee of Adjustment, and pursuant to the Planning Act that the public meeting be adjourned at 10:28 a.m. and the regular meeting of Council be called back to order.

THAT Report 2023-070 from the Fire Chief be received and filed for information purposes only.

THAT Report 2023-088 from the Director of Recreation and Facilities be received and filed for information purposes only.

THAT Report 2023-086 from the Chief Building Official/Drainage Superintendent be received and filed for information purposes only.

THAT Council direct Staff to approve the recommended changes in principle, subject to any revisions subject to any revision resulting from a public meeting on August 2, 2023. AND THAT Council direct Staff to provide notice of a public meeting regarding amendments to the Building By-law.

THAT the Quinn Drain 2023 Tender be awarded to Van Bree Drainage for $323,009.37 (HST included).

THAT Report 2023-087 from the Director of Public Works be received and filed for information purposes only.

THAT items 10(a) - (b) be received and filed for information purposes only.

THAT Council move into closed meeting session at 11:00 a.m. pursuant to Section 239.2(e) of the Municipal Act), regarding Zorra Maintenance Facility.

THAT By-law 37-23, being a by-law to confirm the proceedings of Council held July 5, 2023, be read a first, second and third time this July 5, 2023; AND FURTHER THAT the Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to sign the same and affix the corporate seal thereto.

THAT this session of Council be now adjourned and herewith closed at 11:58 a.m. and the next meeting of Council be called for the August 2, 2023, at 9:30 a.m. in the Council Chambers at the Township Municipal Office.
