THAT the agenda be adopted as printed and circulated

THAT the minutes from the December 4, 2024 Council meeting be adopted as printed and circulated.

THAT the Council meeting be adjourned at 6:03 p.m. for the purposes of holding a public meeting pursuant to the provisions of the Planning Act.

THAT the Township of Zorra Committee of Adjustment approve Application File A11-24, submitted by Peter Baldwin and Stephanie Halford for lands described as Part Lot 8, Concession 13 (East Nissouri), in the Township of Zorra municipally known as 275445 27th Line, as it relates to: Relief from Section 7.1, Accessory Uses, Buildings and Structures Permitted, to permit a detached additional residential unit (ARU) on a property zoned ‘General Agricultural Zone (A2)’ in the Township of Zorra. Subject to the following condition: i) That the approval for the ‘ARU’ shall be located generally as identified on Plate 3 of Report No. 2024-385.

THAT the Township of Zorra Committee of Adjustment approve Application File A12-24, submitted by Jim and Cassandra Forbes for lands described as Part Lot 23, Concession 3 North, in the Township of Zorra municipally known as 642960 Road 64, as it relates to: Relief from Table 5.4.2.4 – Provisions for Detached Additional Residential Units to: i) increase the maximum permitted distance between dwellings from 30 m (98.6 ft) to 50 m (164 ft); and Relief from Table 5.4.2.3 – Provisions for All Additional Residential Units to: i) increase the maximum permitted cumulative gross floor area from 50% to 57% of the gross floor area of the principal dwelling to recognize the existing garden suite only as an additional residential unit (ARU). Subject to the following condition: i) That the approval for the ‘ARU’ applies only to the existing ‘garden suite’ located generally as shown on Plate 3 of Report No. 2024-386.

THAT pursuant to the Planning Act, the public meeting be adjourned at 6:15 p.m. and the regular meeting of Council be called back to order.

THAT Report 2024-159 from the Deputy Treasurer be received for information purposes only.

THAT Report 2024-155 from the Legislative Coordinator/Deputy Clerk be received and filed; AND THAT Council endorse the use of internet and telephone voting for the 2026 Municipal Election; AND THAT staff be directed to develop the 2026 Election Work Plan based on this voting method.

THAT Council approve any financial support received being transferred to Reserves to cover future costs due to adjustments to the annual OPP billing reconciliation process.

THAT by-laws 65-24, 66-24, and 67-24 be taken as read a first, second and third time and finally passed; AND FURTHER THAT the Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to sign the same and affix the corporate seal thereto.

THAT By-law 68-24, being a by-law to confirm the proceedings of Council held December 18, 2024, be read a first, second and third time this December 18, 2024; AND FURTHER THAT the Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to sign the same and affix the corporate seal thereto.

THAT this session of Council be now adjourned and herewith closed at 6:35 p.m. and the next meeting of Council be called for January 15, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. in the Council Chambers at the Zorra Municipal Centre.
